A queue machine or queuing automaton is simply a finite state machine having the capacity to store and retrieve information from an unlimited-memory queues. It is essentially a graphical model of computing equivalent to a Turing Machine, so basically it can only execute the same category of natural languages. This machine has the capacity to calculate the probabilities of receiving a specific piece of input, given its position in the queue. This also includes an understanding of the probability of not getting that piece into the queue in the first place, as well as its confidence level in estimating the likelihood of getting that piece into the queue in the second place.

The queuing system is controlled via a program which tells the machine how to act. In this sense, the queue machines are much more programmable than the classical computers. It has no instructions which it must follow. In a way, it could be considered as a digital computer. The programmers can use the programming language LISTS to tell the queue machine what to do. This makes for very flexible scheduling of events, as it is possible to define new rules for executing the queued events, conditional upon which other conditions might be met, for instance the drop of a specific bit in a magnetic field.

Queue management systems have become highly efficient customer service machines. The increased efficiency of the system depends on the accuracy of the internal control logic of the devices. This means that, for optimal operation, the internal control logic of the queues should be correct at all times. Some companies also use their queues in such a manner that the system can be programmed so that it takes as few actions as possible, whenever there is an event taking place. This reduces the input required by the system, so that the system becomes more efficient in processing data. The use of queues in such a manner leads to both more efficient queuing, and less waiting time for the event processing.

As the throughputs attained with such applications are very high, often using aqueous injection or even a finite element machine, these applications require aqueous queue machine to function at optimum levels.
